Protect your big day with wedding insurance
Planning a wedding? Then you know how much is involved – choosing a venue, arranging catering, booking a photographer, selecting music. You take care of every detail, hoping everything goes perfectly on the big day.
But no matter how well-prepared you are, unexpected things can happen. The last thing you want is to postpone your wedding due to unforeseen circumstances. But what if it does happen? If you, your partner, or a close family member falls ill, or if your venue becomes unavailable due to fire or extreme weather? And what if your beautiful wedding dress gets damaged while dancing?
While we can’t take away the disappointment, we can cover the financial setback. That’s exactly what wedding insurance is for.

Who is it for?
Wedding insurance is for anyone getting married, registering as partners, or celebrating a major wedding anniversary. Wedding planners can also take out a policy on behalf of their clients.
Take out your wedding insurance here, so you can continue planning your perfect day stress-free – and fully enjoy it when the time comes!
What is covered?
If your wedding has to be postponed or cancelled, our wedding insurance will ensure that you are reimbursed for the following costs:
- Wedding clothes you hire for yourself and/or for the bridesmaids and pageboys
- Hire of transport on the wedding day
- Venue hire
- Catering
- Photographer and videographer
- Band, DJ and other artists
The following are insured on the wedding day itself:
- Damage to clothing of the bride and groom and the bridesmaids and pageboys
- Loss or theft of gifts
- The cost of purchased wedding clothes will be reimbursed if the bride or groom dies before the wedding
What is not covered?
- If you, your partner, a family member or a best man is seriously ill and they already knew this when you took out the insurance, you are not insured if the wedding has to be postponed or cancelled because of that person's illness.
- You will not be reimbursed if your wedding has to be postponed or cancelled because of an epidemic or pandemic.
