What's covered?
Wedding insurance comes with different coverage options. You choose which ones to include:
- Cancellation
If you need to cancel or postpone the wedding due to unforeseen circumstances, like illness of the bride, groom, or a close family member, the following costs could be covered:
- Bridal attire (for the bride, groom, and/or children)
- Transport on the wedding day
- Venue hire
- Catering
- Photographer/videographer
- Band or DJ - Cancellation due to extreme weather
- Bridal attire and gifts
If the bride, groom, or bridal party attire gets damaged, or if wedding gifts are lost, you’ll be reimbursed for the costs. - Equipment
If items like sound equipment or tents are damaged, your insurer will cover the costs. This coverage applies during the wedding, as well as during transport and setup/teardown. - Accidents
If an accident happens during the wedding, this coverage will pay for medical costs or provide compensation to the injured party. - Venue damage
If there’s damage to the wedding venue (e.g. stains that can’t be removed or a broken window), the insurer will cover the costs.
